Whale Watching and Cayo Levantado Trip
After meeting at the port of Samaná at 9 a.m, we will board a catamaran, put on our life jackets, and head out into the bay.
During the trip, you will enjoy one of the most exciting experiences you can have in the north of the Dominican Republic – whale watching! We will drop anchor in the middle of the ocean and wait for the magnificent humpback whales to surface.
Do you know why this corner of the Caribbean is one of the ideal places for this activity? Every year, between January and March, some 3,000 humpback whales breed in these warm waters. You will be left speechless at the sight of these amazing marine creatures.
Then we will continue on our journey, heading to Cayo Levantado, a small island that seems to have been taken out of a dream. Once there, we disembark and let you have three hours of your own free time to relax on one of the paradise beaches. Crystal clear water and serene white sand beaches… what more could you want?
And after enjoying a buffet lunch on the beach, we will return to the catamaran to return to the port of Samaná. We will be back at the starting point at around 4 pm.
Whale watching
We also offer a Samana Bay Whale Watching Trip departing from Punta Cana, which is useful if your accommodation is located there.
